A few steps from Piazza Unità d’Italia you reach the Molo Audace, one of the most loved places by Trieste residents and tourists who visit the city. Originally built in 1751, on a ship wreck (the San Carlo), it was later renamed in honor of the first Italian ship that moored at the end of the First World War.
It extends for about 200 m on the sea, and during sunny days or at sunset is a long one of enchantment, where many people stop to admire not only the sea, but the profile of the city itself.
It is the ideal place to take a walk at any time of the day and in any season and be enchanted by the sunsets over the sea, while the facades of the buildings are tinged with red. If you are an adrenaline lover, go to the pier during a Bora day and try to reach the wind rose located at its end while remaining balanced, while the wind blows at 100 km/h!

Parking
Parking in Trieste is very difficult. We suggest using the paid parking space at Eataly. This is a franchise store where you can buy first-class Italian specialties. It’s a little more expensive store, but the quality of all the products they sell is top notch. And if you shop there, they discount your parking fee.
