Parenzana is the most beautiful cycling and walking route in Slovenia. Route starts in Koper, winds along the sea to Izola, then through the tunnel in Izola, then through the landscape park through the Strunjan valley. The path winds through the fields of local people growing fruit and vegetables. And then over the tunnel to Portorož. The entire route of Parenzana in Slovenia is asphalted and it is included in the network of bicycle trails under the name D8.
