The beach is kids and family friendly.
There are playgrounds for the kids, water-slides, beach-volley court, tennis, mini golf, various water sports, floating playgrounds in the ocean during summer months
This beach is family favorite. A beautiful bay with sand and a nice low approach to the sea is very suitable for the youngest.
There is a large car park right by the beach – you can easily find a free parking slot even on summer months. There is also a post office, pharmacy, bus station, shops and restaurants. Snack bar and an ice-cream bar is open only on season months. Pine trees provide protection from the sun.
You can reach the old town center of Izola with a short and pleasant 20-minute walk along the sea. The route takes you past small beaches, souvenir shops, various restaurants and past the Izola marina.
San Simon bay is known from Roman times. Remains of a pier with mosaics are still hidden under the sea. You can visit archeological site. More info here: Archaeological Park Simonov zaliv
San Simon bay is also a good starting point for many well-kept trails nearby.
Beach can get very crowded on hot summer days!
