Contemporary and Creative Cuisine

JAZ by ANA ROS encourage you to share your food and plates with each other.
The concept of Jaz by Ana Roš is a youthful, young space and it is a place for everyone. “Call me young dining”, Ana would say. JAZ does not follow the rules of fine dining, on the contrary, we encourage you to share your food and plates with each other and thus create that magical feeling of mutual love at the table. Just as we share bread, which symbolises close ties and togetherness. Jaz by Ana Ros is a place where different cultures and intense flavours meet, where new stories are written and traditions are revived.

What they say about themselves in the JAZ by ANA ROS Restaurant
JAZ by Ana Roš does not want to be and is not a fine dining restaurant
or a bistro, but it still is Jaz (Me).
Jaz is young, a youthful space, a space for all.
“Call me young dining”, says Ana.
Jaz in Slovenian means Me, Me – Ana.
In Arabic Ana means Me (Jaz).
In Arabic, Jaz embodies the unrelenting fighter,
who wants to and must make their dreams come true,
and always follows their values.
In English, Jaz symbolizes fragrant flowers, a bringer
of treasure, and a strong-willed personality.
Jaz means eyes.
Welcome to JAZ by Ana Roš
As in the Hiša Franko, a three Michelin-starred restaurant in the beautiful Soča Valley, the culinary creativity of Chef Ana Roš is based on locally produced food and light flavours. The dishes at Jaz are more simple and follow the season. The market serves as inspiration, and the kilometres of experience of the international team guarantee a perfect breakfast, lunch or dinner. Elegant and serious, a little funky, a little rock’n’roll.
The star of the dishes is Ana’s pasty, the pasty of Ana’s childhood. Istrian tomato salsa (dad Bojan processes about a tonne of tomatoes every summer), Buža olive oil from our first Istrian neighbour Dario and fermented albumin curd from Mount Sleme – Ana’s mother always used to say that Ana’s pasty is simply the perfect food for everyone
