The Golf Trnovo Ljubljana course stretches between the Ljubljana Motor Show and the southern Ljubljana bypass. Access to the course is from the Two Emperors Road, approximately 150m from the Jakšič Center in Trnovo. The course first opened its doors on May 16, 2007.

The course is intended for all players and golf enthusiasts, as a golf license is not required in our country.

The driving range is 250m long and has 30 putting greens. For practicing short shots, there are 5 chipping and pitching greens on an area of ​​1.5 hectares, and there is also a putting green on an area of ​​800m2.

The Golf Trnovo course has 9 holes, which stretch on the surface between the southern Ljubljana ring road and the car fair. For the best players, the course from white tees is approximately 2,500m long. The second, third and sixth holes will be very demanding even for the best players. For most players who will play from medium tees, the course is between 2,000 and 2,350m long.

LOCAL RULES GOLF COURSE TRNOVO

1. Ball is out of bounds: white stakes and green net fence
2. Penalty area: yellow stakes, lateral water hazard: red stakes
3. Ground under repair: blue stakes
4. Environmentally sensitive area (biotope): yellow-green stakes – entry is strictly prohibited
5. All parts of the irrigation system, paths and benches are immovable obstructions – relief according to the rules
6. Distance markings are in meters 50 – 200m to the middle of the greens (1 dash = 50m)
7. Lightning protection: longer siren signal – immediate interruption of play
8. Avoid slow play and let faster players go ahead; 2 players have priority over groups of three and four
9. The maximum time for playing 9 holes is 2 hours
10. The player is obliged to repair pitchmarks on the greens caused by his own play. He is also obliged to show the pitchmark repair equipment – pitchforks – upon request of the course staff
11. The player on the course is obliged to repair torn off parts of the turf (divots) behind him and put them back on the torn off part.
12. After each use of the bunker, the player is obliged to level the surface of the sand hazard and return the rake to its place.

GOLF ETHICS

1. The player must report to the course reception before starting to play and adhere to the assigned starting time.
2. Entry to the course outside of opening hours is strictly prohibited.
3. Players are asked to report the cancellation of the starting time to the golf course reception as soon as possible.
4. Playing with practice balls is strictly prohibited. For the first violation of this rule, the player will receive a verbal warning, for the next violation, he will be prohibited from further play and must leave the course immediately, for the third violation, the player with an annual ticket and game packages will have them confiscated, and the player with a daily ticket will be fined €100.00.
5. In order to participate in tournaments, a regular active membership in one of the clubs recognized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is required.
6. The player must be appropriately dressed and footwear, both on the course and at the practice range.
7. Dogs must be on a leash, tied to a golf bag or cart. Dogs are strictly prohibited from roaming the course or entering the greens. The owner is required to clean up after the dog. Dogs are prohibited on the course during tournaments.
8. If the ball flies uncontrollably when hit or when the direction of the ball’s flight is not visible, the player who hit the ball must shout “FORE!”.
9. We reserve the right to close the course in the event of tournament organization, maintenance, course renovation, or bad weather.
10. Advantages on the course: until 11:00 a.m., the maintenance person who is maintaining the course has priority. If there is a flag on the green, hitting on the green is prohibited. We skip the green in question or wait for the maintenance person to indicate that we can play on it.
11. Players are required to take care of the reputation of the course and practice area.
12. All players must comply with golf ethics and staff instructions. Violators will be appropriately sanctioned for failure to comply with these rules. In the event of repeated violations, the annual pass, playing fees, a fine of €100.00 and further bans on visiting the course and practice range.

PRACTICE AREA

1. Practice is permitted in designated practice areas – metal markers, plastic mats, short game practice greens.
2. Taking practice balls from practice areas is strictly prohibited.
3. Professional instructors have priority for practice on plastic mats under the roof.
4. Only putting and rolling is permitted on the large and small practice greens.
5. Chipping and pitching are permitted on the 3 chipping greens, as well as practicing high shots on the green.
6. After practice, we must pick up the sand barrier.
7. After practice, we return empty baskets to the golf course reception.
8. If there are any practice balls left in the basket, we must also return them to the golf course reception.

GOLF CAR USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

1. When renting a golf car, the player must follow the rules for its safe use.
2. The use of the golf car is at his own risk.
3. We drive exclusively on paths where the path is not on the grass, it is forbidden to drive on greens and putting greens.
4. We do not drive between greens and sand obstacles, it is necessary to follow the directional signs on the course.
5. The vehicle may only be operated by persons with a valid driver’s license and persons over 18 years of age.
6. The vehicle does not offer protection against flying golf balls and clubs, nor does it offer protection against lightning strikes. If you are caught in a storm while driving, seek shelter immediately.
7. Do not shift gears while driving! To avoid damage to the vehicle and passengers, shift gears only when the vehicle is stationary.
8. If you want to activate the parking brake, press the brake pedal firmly until it engages. The parking brake is automatically released when you press the accelerator pedal or the brake pedal.
9. When stopping the vehicle on uneven terrain, always use the parking brake.
10. The vehicle is intended to transport a maximum of two people. Do not leave children alone in the vehicle.
11. Operate the vehicle exclusively from the driver’s seat; do not lean out of the vehicle while driving.
12. The driver must always have both hands on the steering wheel while driving. The passenger should hold on to the handrails while driving.
13. When changing direction, adjust the speed to prevent the vehicle from tipping over.
14. Drive on ramps in a straight vertical line to reduce the risk of slipping and tipping over.
15. Do not drive on slopes with a gradient greater than 20%.
16. Avoid sudden starts and stops and abrupt changes in direction, as this can cause damage to passengers, the vehicle and the playground.
17. When driving on wet surfaces or difficult terrain, always adjust your speed and do not drive off abruptly.
18. You can only remove the key when it is in the OFF position.
19. After the game, return the car to the reception, secure it with the parking brake, remove the key and return it to the receptionist.
