IstraTerra tour description

The Parenzana cycling path follows the former narrow-gauge railway from Trieste (Italy) to Poreč (Croatia). You can get to know a part of this route from Portorož to Sečovlje salt-pans and to the olive grove, where we will stop to pamper our taste buds with olive oil, prosciutto, cheese, glass of wine, and then we will continue our journey to Korte for a wine tasting. Our journey will take us along the ridge to Šared, followed by a descent to Izola and return through the tunnel under Valeta to Portorož.

We start cycling through Istria from an agreed location (Portorož, Piran, Izola or Koper); the path leads us to the Sečovlje salt-pans and olive groves. On our way we take time to rest and taste local delicacies (olive oil, wine, and prosciutto). During the tasting, we find new strength and lay our eyes on the views offered to us by the Slovenian Istria.

The excursion is suitable as a half day or full day trip through Istria, individually, for closed groups or families with children. We can add lunch, additional tastings (truffle, seasonal fruit or seasonal herbs) or customize the content for a team-building event.
