Take a journey through our landscape, culture and way of life by dining outside the box. COB experience menu is best suited for your first visit at COB. In about two hours, 8 culinary events will tell the story of our destination in a fun and interactive way, made with the best ingredients of local and regional origin. The tasting menu consists of Adriatic sea food as well as meat specialties from the Istrian hinterland.

MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

COB is an acronym for “Cooking Outside the Box”, an excellent description of the cuisine served at this restaurant. Situated in the upper part of Portorož, with stunning views of Pirano bay, plus an interior which combines modern, minimalist design with a 100-year-old wood-burning stove. Chef Filip Matjaž creates original and personalized dishes full of Istrian flavours, which are showcased on tasting menus that demonstrate the chef’s love for his region. The approach here is to create reinterpreted recipes which are imaginative and full of surprises.
